New and more microwaves in the guild

I have been at the university since 2016 and the microwaves are exactly the same. They are slow and probably extremely inefficient. There are also only two of them which often leads to long queues in the guild shop. It would also be ideal to spread out microwaves across campus because it seems a bit ridiculous going from south or north campus just to heat up food. People should be encouraged to bring packed lunches to save money!

We have recently placed two brand new, energy efficient microwaves in the internal Guild Street, so that they can be accessed at all times of day, and which should prevent queueing in the Guild Shop. The University are also installing microwaves across campus in several of their buildings, which will be located in three catering outlets - these locations are still to be confirmed. We understand the importance of this matter for students, due to the cost of living crisis, and are working with the University on initiatives such as this, in addition to access to hot water on campus.
