We are campainaing to let university give us the first day of Eid as a break for everyone to celebrate with family and friends. Eid is a festival observed by muslims at the end of Ramadan, and is widely celebrated on our campus by many students and teachers who find themselves having to go to university every year on the day of Eid instead of celebrating this beautiful day with family and friends, alienating them and preventing them from practising the festivties. By observing Eid as a holiday in the University of Liverpool, we will make campus more inclusive and comfortable for a huge portion of our student body, and best of all: everyone gets a day off university!
