New year

Hey Yogis!

Happy New Year! We hope you all had a beautiful Christmas and found the time to relax and recharge before the New Year came in.
Hopefully you’re feeling refreshed (now that NYE hangover has gone) and ready to embrace 2021!

Starting a New Year is such an exciting time as so many experiences and possibilities lie ahead. This can also feel a little overwhelming at times but if you look at the year ahead with an open and accepting mindset, whilst grounding yourself in the present moment, you can feel more prepared for whatever the year may bring.

Some of you may have taken the time to set resolutions already, while some may find this a waste of time. This year, instead of setting big, ambitious resolutions, you could instead just note a few things you want to leave behind in 2020, and a few things you want to bring into 2021. By focusing on continuing the good practices that you were doing already, you’re more likely to achieve your resolutions and not have given up by February!

Aim to leave behind anything that isn’t serving you and bring forward anything that is. This might mean evaluating the true effects of your habits and relationships, which can be tough, but is definitely worth it in the long run to make sure you’re putting your health and happiness first.

This will be a busy time for us all, with deadlines and exams coming up, but see if you can take 5 minutes to carry out this practise and start the New Year with a positive mindset.
