1st November marks World Vegan Day, and we’re back with a whole new bunch of independent restaurants for you to try! Whether you’re a dedicated vegan or trying your best to convert, these city centre spots need to be on your ‘to visit’ list for all the best vegan treats.

Egg Café

16 – 18 Newington, L1 4ED

Looking for your new fave lunch spot? Look no further than Egg Café. Try their dreamy homemade soup (it is soup season after all!) or check out their spicy bean burger. Hungry for something more? Pop in in a Sunday for a full vegan Sunday Roast– nut roast with all the trimmings!

Down the Hatch

62 Duke Street, L1 5AA

When we say junk food heaven, THIS is what we mean! From huge burgers to heavenly mac & cheese, Down the Hatch is the perfect place to cure your hangover or simply to indulge this World Vegan Day. They say ‘feel free to fill your boots and stuff your face’ - you don’t need to tell us twice!

The Vibe

Chancery House, Paradise Street, L1 3HE

The Vibe is the place that has it all! A full breakfast and brunch menu including vegan “eggs” benedict and pancakes for our sweet tooth? Check. Hearty meals like sausage and mash, risotto and stir fry? Check. Frothy coffee and cake for an afternoon treat? Check. The ideal walk-in cafe for any day of the week!

Sanskruti

Bixteth, L3 9LP

Fancy a naan the size of your head? Sanskruti has you covered. An authentic Indian menu, it’s the perfect, cosy food to get you through the first day of November, a notoriously miserable month. Not feeling a massive meal? Try their street food for a smaller dish.
