Pass the Book is a brand new service which lets you buy, sell or donate second-hand books online.
The Guild has been working closely with the University Library over the last few months to create this new online space that will hopefully save you some cash over the year.
It's really easy to use and now that term has started we know everyone is busy checking their reading lists. Rather than shelling out for new books check out Pass the Book as you could pick up the book for a very student-friendly price.
You can then pass your own books on at the end of term and make some extra money or donate and generate some good karma before exams by passing on any textbooks that you won’t need for revision.
The idea came from former Student Officer Emma Sims last year - have a read of her blog about how Pass the Book got started here.
Over the next year Ananda will be working with the University Library on Pass the Book alongside other exciting projects which will make the libraries better for everyone.
Vice President Ananda, said: “Pass the Book is another example of how student suggestions, alongside partnership with the university, has improved the student experience. It was the hard work and determination of both our own Emma Sims and the wonderful library staff who have made this dream a reality. Students can now get essential textbooks and other books at affordable rates and has made the student experience here in Liverpool just that much better.”
