We’re all set to roll out an action-packed programme in support of LGBT+ month.
Our programme of events and film screenings aims to appreciate the work and achievements of LGBT+ people.
We’ll be kicking things off on Monday 6 February with an LGBT+ History workshop, giving students the chance to come together to help research LGBT History from the 1980's to early 2000. Other events include a BME LGBT+ social and a discussion about the impact of LGBT+ activists of colour which features guest speaker Phyll Opoku Gyimah, co-founder of UK Black Pride.
We’re also running various film screenings throughout the month, including Pride, Paris is Burning and But I’m a Cheerleader.
As part of our activities, we are creating a wall of inspirational LGBT+ figures which will be on display outside Starbucks. If you’d like to submit an inspirational individual of your own, please tweet @LiverpoolGuild.
