If you’re ready to join the fight against fees and debt, you can now book your place on our bus which will be heading down to London on the day.

With rising tuition fees, higher student debt and the scrapping of maintenance grants and NHS bursaries the National Union of Students (NUS) is taking action.

At the NUS National Conference in April a Further Education Zone motion to hold a national demo to fight back was supported.

The NUS is joining forces with the University and College Union to march under the banner of United for Education. This is to demand free, good quality further and higher education that is accessible to all.

The march has three key asks:

- To invest in Further Education colleges and sixth forms and stop college mergers
- To write off student debt and stop private education companies profiting from student fees
- To scrap the Higher Education Bill, halt the rise in tuition fees and bring back maintenance grants.

The demo is taking place in London on Saturday 19 November and we’ll have buses taking students to join the demo. Book your place here.

President of the Guild Sean Turner, said: "This is a really important opportunity to have our voice - the student voice - heard. Be part of the movement making it known that we students, from all our various backgrounds, are united and will not remain silent while the Government try to trample over us.

"We want as many people to come as possible, joining us and the other Students' Unions across the country."

We’ll also be holding a banner making session before the march and will send out more information about this soon.
