Interfaith week

We’re getting set to celebrate the diverse and vibrant range of faiths across campus.

Interfaith Week runs from Monday 14th – Thursday 17th November, and there’s lots to get involved with.

The aim of the week is to shine a light on our faith societies and it’s a chance for them to come together in sharing their beliefs. There are almost 450 students who are currently members of 12 faith societies at the Guild. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about different faiths to discover something new.

The week begins on Monday 14th November with a ‘Misconceptions about Faith’ event, where members of our faith societies will give their perspective on questions you might have about faith, spirituality and religion.

Next comes ‘Meet the faiths’ event on Tuesday 15th November – an opportunity to meet Liverpool University faith groups, learn about religious practice and take part in different faith activities.

There’s an interfaith volunteering opportunity on Wednesday 16th November, which is a chance for students of all faiths (or no faith at all) to come together and spend time rejuvenating our green spaces on the roof garden and Guild walk.

The week will close with a film screening of Life of Pi on Thursday 17th November – popcorn and good company will be thrown in for free, and you can enjoy an interesting discussion about the film with members from our faith groups afterwards.

See a full list of each of our Interfaith Week events and activities here.

More information about Interfaith Week, including guest blogs from members of our faith groups, will be published on our website throughout the week, so stay tuned for more details.
