Last month, we announced our campaign plans to tackle the cost-of-living crisis for University of Liverpool students and we are pleased to announce that the University have confirmed they will be tripling the student hardship fund to £1.5 million from £500,000.
The University Hardship Fund is available to support students experiencing financial difficulties and is open to UK, overseas and EU undergraduate and postgraduate students. And with the cost-of-living crisis increasing financial pressure for students, it is more important than ever for you to be able to access support and assistance measures.
We are continuing to work collaboratively with the University to assess demand, making sure your voice is heard and understand the support you need. As well as increasing the hardship fund, the University are also investing in additional staff resources to ensure your applications are processed as quickly as possible. Further information about the University Hardship Fund will be communicated to students soon.

This is not the end of the road on support for students on cost of living. We are listening to you and will continue conversations with the University about future measures, to make sure you are supported and find ways to make sure there aren’t financial barriers to student success.
