We are looking for a Student Trustee to join our Board of Trustees. Ciaran Grafton-Clarke, our current Student Trustee gives the lowdown on what the role involves:

“My name is Ciaran and I am one of the current student trustees here at the Liverpool Guild of Students. Sitting as a member of the board is a truly unique and exciting experience.

"The board of trustees meet a number of times over the academic year to approve items, discuss pressing issues and to ensure that the guild is fulfilling its aims and objectives in supporting students and providing an exceptional service to the student body. As a student trustee you will be assisting in the decision making process on issues that will directly impact on the students here at Liverpool. It is an invaluable opportunity to gain so many skills and meet plenty of fantastic people.

There are other opportunities involved on top of attending board meetings. You can choose to get involved with a team at the guild - I decided to get involved with the Governance and Appointments committee, which is totally different to anything I have done before. How many opportunities as a student do you get to assist in the recruitment interviews at a multi-million pound charitable organisation? The answer is not many!

This role is extremely rewarding and I would encourage anyone with a passion for the Liverpool Guild of Students and a passion for making a difference to the student experience to apply for this role.”

If you're interested, APPLY NOW (don't take too long as the job advert closes on Wednesday 13 April).
