In 2016, Government made changes to University and college education.
It suggested introducing a ‘Teaching Excellence Framework’ – and if Universities score well in this framework, they can increase their tuition fees. How well they score in the Teaching Excellence Framework partially depends on the University’s scores in the National Student Survey (NSS).
The National Student Survey is completed by final year students every year as a tool to review their course and time at university. However in light of Government changes, we are fighting with other students’ unions on a national scale to encourage students to not complete it.
Only through completing the survey are there results which Government can use to destroy higher education. As well as increasing tuition fees, the results will help the Government to categorise institutions as gold, silver or bronze, which could also devalue your degree to potential employers in the future.
Don’t complete and hit delete.
